Racing this Weekend!

Race #3 and #4 for the Shasta AutoX Challenge Series is this weekend, Saturday and Sunday August 8th and 9th!  Setup is Friday at 6:30pm in the pit area at the Shasta Speedway.  Gates open at 7:30am and 1st Driver’s Meeting at 9:00am both Saturday and Sunday. 

We will do our best to start on time, and complete the events before the afternoon heat takes hold, so please be on time and ready to go racing! 

Online registration: 
– Saturday August 8th – http://msreg.com/ttc3 – Sunday August 9th – http://msreg.com/ttc4

Walk-ups can sign up online using their phone at the event.  Your best bet is to register online ahead of time as run group space is limited.

Self Tech:  Download the Self Tech sheet as part of MSR registration and inspect your race entry prior to the event.  You do not need to bring the form to the track, just be sure to do the inspection and correct any issues before we find them at the track and send you home!  We are doing inspections in the staging lane for every car this weekend.

Waivers / Wristbands:  Everyone in the pit area should be a driver, rider, or TTC event staff.  All must sign the event liability waiver and put on a wristband.  The waiver station is under the shade cover.  Use the hand sanitizer after signing the waiver!

Spectators:  Only driver’s or riders in the pit area.  Spectators may use the West parking lot fence area to view the event and are expected to social distance.  Bring shade and water!

Other Changes:
– You must bring your own compliant helmet.  No rental helmets are available- Bring your own cold beverages and a hat – it is going to be hot!
– Camping is allowed at the facility, but there are no Club social events or gatherings planned- For Club Members competing for Season points, you need to complete 4 of the 10 events, and we will have 2 drops for a best 8 out of 10 races. 
– T-Shirts / Plaques:  We won’t have anything printed for this event, but we are working on it for next time.

Notice to Participants: In light of the current COVID-19 situation, every attempt will be made to minimize the risks of exposure to the virus. New processes and procedures are being developed and will be put into place for events going forward.

Ultimately, it is your responsibility to assess the risk to you, both on-track and off, and to make the decision on whether or not to participate. If you are feeling unwell or are experiencing symptoms such as fever, cough, or shortness of breath please stay home. If you have been in contact with someone who has been experiencing these symptoms in the last two weeks, please stay home.

While on site please take the health and safety of your fellow participants, volunteers and staff into consideration and practice social distancing, wear a mask, and wash your hands and/or use hand sanitizer frequently.
