We had a great turn out for this race.  Lots of fun on the track and off.  Some great times were posted too.  Have to give credit were credit is due to our four  lady drivers which are Jillian Dillon, Francy Winterburn, Terra Gilliam and Megan Dewell.  They all did some awesome driving so congrats to  all the ladies.

Now for the gentlemen drivers we also had some awesome driving from them also.  Here are the top five drivers for the day:  Blake DeWit 87.83, Troy Dewell 92.32, Scott Murchison 93.19,

Jon Pecaut 93.97, and Gary Kerch 95.11.  You all did some great driving and once the new season starts in April you all should be in great shape for a fantastic year.  Want to also thank Francy Winterburn for her nice little driving mishap it was so much fun to watch hope you had a good time too.

Want to thank everyone who stayed to help pick up like normal the track was down in 10 minutes that in itself is fantastic.

OK I will keep you informed about the next meeting and we hope to see you there.

Sorry but again I forgot to put in that the pax winner was Sean Johnson. He really did some awesome driving too. There are times when I have to admit he really does scare me to death. But he has never crashed and he can save a little mistake in a great way so congrats to you too Sean. Hope you have many more pax times.

If you have seen the new lately you will know that the fairgrounds has fired our promoter.  So now we are back to square one with our racing dates.  I will keep you informed as to what will be happening when we get some kind of news and a new schedule.

We will be racing this weekend, so set up is at 4:00 on saturday like we planned.  So please if you signed up for this please make sure to come.  We will start the race on sunday at 9:00 like normal.

I have to pick up a key from them on friday, so not sure how this is going to work with Danny wanting to go in early on saturday and Jon going in early on sunday to finalize the track.  Will keep you informed.

Hello Everyone,

This is just a reminder of our meeting this coming tuesday February 16th at Upper Crust Pizza on Churn Creek.  Social hour is a 6:00 and the meeting is at 7:00.  Please try to be there if possible.

We started something at the last meeting that will affect everyone that attends the meeting.  If you are a member and at the meeting you can sign up for set up and tear down this will take $5.00 for your racing at that race.  There will also be a drawing at the race that is for everyone who is racing and if they win at the race they will get a free entry.

I want to put out a special thank you to the following people who came to help with the teen clinic. Brian Berry, Ray Dibble, Bruce Lamb, David Winterburn, Ted and myself. It was really interesting to see how many courses they had set up for these kids. Well they are not kids they ate all at least 16 years old. We only had four students for the first class but this is going to be going on every month so if you can help it would be greatly appreciated however not necessary. So thanks again to these special people for helping us out.

Well we had our first race and it was tons of fun. We had a great course set up and everyone had a great time. The weather was kind of rainly at first then it stopped and it just got really cold. We are in our practice sessions from January to March and then we start our real race session in April. However, we had alot of good times posted yesterday but the hero for the day was Brian Berry. He took this course and turned it upside down. He could do no wrong. Also our club is growing this year we have had alot of new people join the club which will make it even more fun to have our BBQ’s and 2 day races. So if you have been thinking about coming out and trying this come on out and have a ton of fun with a great car club. Hope we see you all next month .

OK we are racing this weekend at shasta fairgrounds on sunday the 24th.  Come on down and have some fun with us.  Anyone can go for a ride with one of our drivers.

There is one problem at the fairgrounds, that I must address.  We are not to be racing on the oval track, I know a lot of you like to warm up your tires and race around the track, but we can’t do this anymore and if you get caught by Frank the new promoter of the track you will be asked to leave.  So please make sure you don’t do this.

Set up is on saturday at 4:00 if you can make it.  All help is appreciated.

OK Eveyone its time to start thinking about racing again.
We start next weekend providing the weather will cooperate with us. Remember the first 3 months of racing are not on the books.   We offically start racing in April. The first three months are to get everyone back in the mode of things to be done while we are racing and having fun. We have a race on the 24th of January, set up will be discussed at the meeting and I will post it once we know the time. We have a meeting this tuesday the 19th at Upper Crust Pizza at 7PM. Please try to attend the meeting if possible we do have things to discuss for the new year and don’t forget your memebership dues are due by the end of February. The membership dues are still the same $30.00 for a single person and $35.00 for a family . Hope to see you all at the meeting.

Hello Everyone,

Richard has decided that we will not have a meeting this month.  NO MEETING THIS MONTH.  We aer trying to get a schedule for next year by Christmas.  Not sure if this is going to happen or not but we are trying.  We hope that you all a a wonderful Thanksgiving with your families.   Now we want to wish you a very Merry Christmas with your families and friends.

Once I have a schedule I will be sure to send it to all of you and we can start racing again in Jaunary.

Here is the email that Frank has sent out.  Let’s try to help out with this.

I’d like to invite Shasta High School to also participate.

Make sure that everyone is clear that the $49 price is for December only or until we find a sponsor to help pick up part of the cost to hold the training.

Students can also help in future events to cover the reduction in the rates.

Also we have very few crash helmets available so it would help to have the students bring their own and use their own cars.

The CHP will give their SMART driving program as a part of this and we will also have lunch from one of the burger places.

We will only have 12 students per session to work our bugs out and would consider another training session on the 19^th.

Let me know if you have any questions or you have some staff that would like to volunteer to be instructors and if we could put together a student group to help promote this program in the area to get a greater outreach to the kids without having to spend gobs on advertising and promotion.
