Club members & friends! We had a great turn out for our September club meeting and made progress on our planning for our final race weekend 10.21 – 10.22. We also discussed ideas for year end awards and our awards celebration to cap off the season.
Greetings racers and race fans! We are racing this weekend for our 6th points event of the year. Track setup is at 7pm Saturday – please come out to the speedway and help us get the facility prepared for racing. Jim Earle is our Race Director and will bring us maps for setup.
Gates open at 7:30am on Sunday with driver’s meeting at 9am. Entry fee is $30 for members and $35 for non-members. Please arrive early enough to complete your registration, safety inspection, and to walk the track. Novice racers are welcome!
Downtown Dogs will be serving lunch – please support our vendor by bringing your appetite and a little extra cash! The club will have cold water and plenty of shade for the expected ~100 degree temps, and the Enloes are bringing their Portacool, so it should be a great summer day for racing.
Updates
1. Helmets: We have all new helmets that you can rent for just $1 (and we will hang onto your driver’s license until it is returned). We will be enforcing the 2005 or better helmet rule going forward.
2. T-Shirts: 2017 TTC club t-shirts are available for $10 each. Pick up an extra and help raise money for the club! We are out of Mediums but have all other sizes.
3. Recycling: Look for the dedicated bins! We’ll call it out in the driver’s meeting as well.
4. Octoberfast 2017: For our October two-day event, we are hosting a Chili Cookoff on Saturday, October 21st! Awards will be presented for the hottest, the most unique, and the best overall chili, and the crowd will be the judges. So dust off your best chili and corn bread recipes, and be thinking about how you are going to dominate what is sure to be some tough competition.
Please reach out with any questions, and I hope to see you at the track this weekend!

A big thank-you to everyone who made it out for two great days of autocross racing with the Trinity Touring Club! We really appreciated those who traveled some distance to race with us, those who just stopped by to see what we were all about, and everyone who was able to pitch in and help make the event run smoothly. Randy Phelps cooked up a mean BBQ for Saturday night and everyone on Sunday got to enjoy a hosted lunch in the infield. Thanks again to Randy, Sharon, Lynette, and Barbara for all the work to make the BBQ and lunch a big success.
