Thunderhill Event Canceled

By | Uncategorized | No Comments

The organizers have canceled this weekend’s competition at Thunderhill due to air quality concerns for the health and safety of the participants.  This means TTC is not racing this weekend.  Registered participants should have gotten an email via MSR earlier today.

If you are willing to travel a bit more, Reno has an event this weekend and registration is open on MSR:  https://renoscca.motorsportreg.com/

We are evaluating whether we can book another weekend at the Speedway and keep our planned 10 race season and will send an update on the schedule when we have more information.

Thunderhill Registration Deadline Thursday 11am

The deadline is here to sign up and race with the Corvette club at Thunderhill this weekend.  There is no onsite registration, all entrants must be signed up on MSR by October 1st @ 11am.  Don’t expect to just show up and waive sweaty money in someone’s face, it won’t work.  You need to be signed up via MSR and complete the Speedwaiver to race.

Thanks to all who made it out to our September points race!  It was a tight battle for top time all weekend between Boris Podtetenieff in the Tesla Model 3 Performance and Larry Nelson in the Brunton Stalker – these were the only two racers with times in the 61’s both Saturday and Sunday.  Boris got the win, sweeping the weekend for Top Time, and pulling off the rare double on Sunday, with a PAX win as well.  Saturday’s PAX winner was Blake DeWit in his E Street Miata.

Saturday’s Class winners were Blake for Street, Jerry Shaha for Touring in an STR Miata, Larry for Modified, Boris for Prepared, Keith Smith for CAM, and Garret Murphy was the fastest Novice in a Nissan 300ZX.  Sunday’s Class winners included Blake, Jerry, Larry, and Boris.
