Join us for our season finale Enduro weekend!  We are racing Saturday and Sunday October 25th and 26th at the Shasta Speedway for the Fall Enduro, rain or shine, same course both days, Saturday is practice for Sunday’s 5 lap Enduro.  Gates open at 7:30am.  Novice course walk at 8:45am followed by Driver’s Meeting for Morning Run Groups at 9am.  Entry fee is $32 for members and $37 for non-members, paid online here on motorsports.reg. A limited number of rental helmets are available and can be reserved as part of sign up.    Run groups and work stations will be assigned at the Driver’s Meeting, simply sign up for Morning or Afternoon.

New this year: IROC (international race of champions) has class champions compete in a suprise car on a secret one lap course for all the glory!  If you are a class champion be at the track by 1pm on Saturday. Exact time TBA – must be present to represent!

Saturday evening we will host a “Crocktoberfest Cookoff” and potluck at the track so plan to return around 5:30pm and bring your favorite crockpot entree or a side dish.  Make your best chili, soup, or stew, or whatever else you can serve up in a crock pot.  The club will provide all the utensils and a place to plug in, as well as soft drinks.  BYOB!  Bring a chair!

Fundraiser

We are holding our annual fundraiser beginning this month and continuing through our Fall Enduro October 25th and 26th.  We raise money for local non-profits helping those in need in our community.  Past beneficiaries include the Haven Humane Society, Northern California Wheelchair Athletics, The Carr Fire Relief Fund, Connected Living Food Bank, The Good News Rescue Mission, the Northern California Veterans Museum, Toys for Tots, Adopt a Family, Shasta County Child Support Services Backpack and School Supply Drive, and  most recently Park Fire Relief.  We have raised over $20,000 in support of local charities over the last 8 years.

This year we are supporting the Orland High School Auto Club – please join us by racing with us the October weekend and supporting our drawing for a season of racing, tires, and a fun end of season event!

Drawing and Donations

This year’s drawing includes the chance at a 2026 Season Pass (value $500) or a full set of race tires! Everyone who races with us for our September (Thunderhill included!) or October events is automatically entered for a chance to win!  Earn another free entry in the drawing every day you finish all your runs with no penalties!  We hope that you also make a donation of $25 for even more chances to win – donate online as part of registration or in person at our events.  We will keep track of everyone’s progress and celebrate with the drawing to be held at the end of our Sunday October 26th event at the Shasta Speedway, need not be present to win.

Be Safe, Go Fast, and Have Fun!  Donate!

Shasta AutoX Challenge Series 5&6 Results

By | Uncategorized | No Comments

This weekend saw a return of the XP shootout on Saturday with Garret Murphy switching classes to join them (was that wise Garret?😳) but our timing booth captain Troy Dewell came out on top Saturday by just 0.1 second over Jeremy McNeely and taking top time of the day overall.

We handed out a magnificent top PAX time trophy🏆 to Chris Michael (check out his new facebook profile pic) for his first PAX win! Speaking of Chris we loved all the people attending his Novice walk👣 and hope you enjoyed it. We think our top Novice on Saturday, Jason Kelnhofer, driving his Dodge Charger must have been paying close attention! Congratulations Jason and we are definitely kicking you out of the novice class..whew.😜

We love visitors and Oliver Bagnell drove his ’72 Dodge Dart from Eureka to compete, blew a fan belt just after the start, completed a quick repair and was back on the track to finish racing and left us in the heat as he headed back to the beautiful coast. 🌊

Fast Larry Nelson drove down from Oregon on Saturday to take the top time in his class from Danny Ide. However, Sunday Danny brough his Jeep😅 and beat out Larr.y… though he probably also beat out everyone else for the cone killer of the day as well. 🏴‍☠️

Troy snagged Top Time of the Day again on Sunday (where will you put all those trophies when they arrive from back order Troy?). Our new member Alejandro Langarcia is leading B street in points, great job! Mike Larson leading D street, and managed to squeeze out the competition for top PAX on Sunday🏅. We did suggest he let us take a victory photo but he hid behind the trophy in his signature move. 🫥🥷

Please join us this Wednesday for our club meeting at Players Pizza 🍕 in Anderson at 6:00pm for social hour and the stimulating meeting at 7:00pm. 😉

Sharon and Ted Haley Spring Enduro Results

By | Uncategorized | No Comments

The 2nd Annual Sharon and Ted Haley Spring Enduro went off smoothly, we had great weather, a fun group of racers, and a pent up need for speed!  Times show how close some of these class competitions are going to be this year – hang on for what is sure to be a fun and wild ride!

It was battle of the XP mega Miatas for top time – Saturday’s Enduro practice saw Troy Dewell win the top spot over Rick Dunbar and Jeremy McNeely, with all three drivers able to break into the 69 second bracket on the two lap course.  For Sunday’s 5 lap main event, it was Jeremy taking the win over Troy and Rick.  Mike Larsen was the king of street class in the DS Elantra N with new Vitours in the front, setting some fast laps and winning PAX both days, as well as being the fastest car of any class on street tires on Saturday.

We had a great group of Novices out to race with us as well and everyone did fantastic, with Cornelius Bartlett the fastest both days in a street class C4 Corvette.  We hope to see all of you back at the track in May – registration is open now for the Shasta AutoX Challenge Series Rounds 3 & 4 May 10th and 11th:  http://msreg.com/ttc2025r2

Pre-Season Results + Registration Open for Spring Enduro

By | Uncategorized | No Comments

Another pre-season test and tune is in the books, and while it was damp, rain never actually fell on our heads so that was nice.  Saturday was the dryer of the two days, with Troy Dewell taking Top Time in his XP Miata and Blake DeWit cruising to the first of two PAX wins for the weekend, in different cars.  Sunday’s fast driver was Nick Tepley in a GTI, PAX was Blake in a Honda Accord, and our fastest Novice of the weekend was new club member Nick Kelley in a Roush Mustang with no 2nd gear who was one cone away for winning all the marbles Sunday.
