Sharon and Ted Haley Spring Enduro Results

By | Uncategorized | No Comments

The 2nd Annual Sharon and Ted Haley Spring Enduro went off smoothly, we had great weather, a fun group of racers, and a pent up need for speed!  Times show how close some of these class competitions are going to be this year – hang on for what is sure to be a fun and wild ride!

It was battle of the XP mega Miatas for top time – Saturday’s Enduro practice saw Troy Dewell win the top spot over Rick Dunbar and Jeremy McNeely, with all three drivers able to break into the 69 second bracket on the two lap course.  For Sunday’s 5 lap main event, it was Jeremy taking the win over Troy and Rick.  Mike Larsen was the king of street class in the DS Elantra N with new Vitours in the front, setting some fast laps and winning PAX both days, as well as being the fastest car of any class on street tires on Saturday.

We had a great group of Novices out to race with us as well and everyone did fantastic, with Cornelius Bartlett the fastest both days in a street class C4 Corvette.  We hope to see all of you back at the track in May – registration is open now for the Shasta AutoX Challenge Series Rounds 3 & 4 May 10th and 11th:  http://msreg.com/ttc2025r2

2. New SCCA classes for Street Touring

— ST classes now follow the pattern for Street (AST, BST, CST, etc.)

— Use the SCCA website https://www.scca-classifier.com/a/index.html to find your class

3. Novice Walk 8:45AM: Anyone who would like some additional instruction with our group of exceptional drivers is invited to a pre-driver’s meeting track walk to cover everything from the basics for beginners to improving your technique as a racer with some events under your belt. We’ll tailor it to our audience and encourage you to take advantage! Don’t miss it if you’re new to autocross!

4. Penalties

— Lay down pointer cones no longer count towards cone penalties, only the standing cone next to the pointer

5. Tech Inspection

— Be sure you are completing your self-tech before the event! All entries are subject to inspection for safety.

6. Car Number and Class

— Use the tape or window markers from the registration table to add your car number and class to the upper passenger windshield, rear side windows, or doors

7. Thunderhill Dates!

— We are planning two trips to the big skid pad at Thunderhill this year to attend autocross events with other clubs – mark your calendars!
