We are going to try one more time to have our second pre-season weekend autocross next weekend, March 4th & 5th.  If you’ve already registered online and can make it next weekend, you don’t need to do anything.  If you can’t make it, you should be able to cancel online, or just reply to this email.

The date is not yet confirmed with the Fairgrounds and we still need our liability insurance, so consider it tentative.  If we can’t clear the schedule or get the insurance inforce for those dates, then we will have to scrub the event all together and our next race will be the season opening Enduro March 25th and 26th.

We are making progress on getting our new insurance all set up for this year and should have it in time for this weekend’s pre-season autocross event at the Shasta Speedway.  Keep an eye out for updates early Friday afternoon in case we have to reschedule again!  If you have not registered yet but plan to come, please register now so we can get a head count for this weekend.

Friday 02.24.2023

– Gates open at 5:00pm Friday for track setup.   Please come by and help us out with setup if you can!  The more folks, the quicker it goes! 

– Jeremy McNeely is our Competition Director and will be our track setup guide

– Campers are welcome!  Stay for the weekend!

Saturday 02.25.2023 (dry)

– Gates open at 7:30am for registration check in

– We will likely consolidate run groups based on attendance and expect to run 2 or 3 groups 

– Driver’s Meeting at 9am under the cover, followed by run groups 1 & 2

– Driver’s Meeting for late registrants, followed by run group 3

– Fun Runs / Open Practice for registered racers if time allows

Sunday 02.26.2023 (wet)

We are still waiting for our 2023 liability insurance policy, and unfortunately it is not yet in force, so we are unable to put a tire on the race track this weekend.  I’m sorry for the inconvenience and late notice, we had a “last chance” deadline of Noon today that has passed, so we are rescheduling to next weekend.

IMPORTANT NOTE for 2023: There are some car class changes from SCCA for this season – some popular classes like ASP have been eliminated, other classes have expanded, and new classes added.  Please review the current draft SCCA Solo Rules for 2023 and choose your class accordingly when registering – if you’re unsure, just register for something and we’ll confirm at the track.  New PAX factors can be found at https://www.solotime.info/pax/

We had a great January event and are looking forward to our next pre-season weekend February 25th and 26th, rain or shine, at the Shasta Speedway.  All are welcome!  This is the last of two pre-season weekend “test and tune” events this year, our season will start in March with our Spring Enduro March 25th and 26th.
