January 2022

Our first autocross of 2022 saw a sunny January weekend and a lot of very close competition!  Jeremy McNeely fought off all challengers to reign supreme over Top Time of Day with a 0.156 margin of victory on Saturday over Shawn, and 0.099 margin over Patrick on Sunday.  Jeremy, Shawn (both in turbocharged XP Miatas), and Patrick (in a wicked Focus RS) were the only 3 drivers to make it into the 36 second bracket.  Saturday’s PAX went to Keith Smith in the CAMT Camaro, and Sunday saw Heinz Simoneit at the top of the PAX scoreboard in his Honda CIVIC SI.  Our fastest Novice was William Schatz in a MazdaSpeed 3.

It was really a great weekend to have fun, shake down some cars, try out other people’s rides, and get some seat time.  We did 6 runs for time each day, and had an extended ‘fun run’ session Saturday afternoon.  Thank-you to all of our volunteers for making it a smooth event, and we are looking forward to doing it again February 19th & 20th.  See you there!

– Gates open at 4:00pm Friday for track setup.   Please come by and help us out with setup if you can!  The more folks, the quicker it goes! – Jeremy McNeely is our Competition Director and will be our track setup guide
