We had some wet weather this weekend that kept some competitors away, but we still managed to fill up a couple of run groups each morning for points racing, and then opened up the track for fun runs in the afternoon. Safe to say even though we got a little wet, it was great to have the time to do fun runs and trade rides.
Saturday
morning’s competition laps were dry, with David Winterburn winning Fast
Time and Blake DeWit taking PAX. We need a minimum of 3 cars in each
PAX group to declare a Class winner, so Saturday that was Blake for
Street, Eric Haney for Touring, and Shawn McNeely for Modified.
Sunday’s
weather was the inverse, with morning competition laps in the wet, and
afternoon fun runs on a dry track. Blake managed the fastest time of
the day in his E Street Miata, and I managed to squeak out a PAX win in
the SVT Focus. Class winners were Brian Berry for Street, Andrew Skemp
for Touring, and Jordan Enloe for CAM.
